Bentonite has proven to be one of the most effective sealants on the market.  The fact that bentonite swells many times its mass, then forms a strong water and chemical proof seal makes it an ideal, inexpensive, permanent, and easy to install liner. An added bonus is the fact that it contains no chemicals, no additives, nothing toxic, bentonite is environmentally-friendly.

  • Soda Ash:

    • Acts as a water softening agent and a pH regulator to maintain stable alkalinity.
    • Can be used in treating water hardness caused by calcium and magnesium.

Sodium carbonate is well known domestically for its everyday use as a water softener. It is a common additive in swimming pools and at your local water treatment plant.

  • Lime:

    • Can be applied to acidic soils to increase the pH, which allows for proper plant growth and development.
    • Lime is also used to disinfect contaminated ground from livestock. 

Lime neutralizes soil acidity and increases activity of soil bacteria. However, oversupply may result in harm to plant life. Lime is a basic chemical, the effect of it makes the soil more basic thus making acidic soils neutral.

Before applying take a sample to your local soil conservation district for recommended application.

  • CEDAR FIBER:

Cedar Fiber packs into an absorbent 'mat' on the stall floor. Other bedding products don't pack in tight like Cedar Fiber and the animals wade in the bedding material. Your animals stay up on top when you choose Cedar Fiber. The Cedar Fiber 'mat' makes a safe, healthy floor for the animal to stand on.  It is easy to fork the manure off the packed Cedar Fiber, and its absorbency helps mitigate odors.  The Cedar Fiber will last all season just refresh the surface by adding a little extra after you clean.

Cottonseed hulls is a multi-purpose agent used in gardening. It is not only a great mulch and weed barrier it also holds the moisture in the soil for those hot summer days. Another great feature when used for gardening is that this product will not float away when it rains.
